Today's lesson centered around lines of latitude and longitude. We discussed which was which, the location of the equator, the location of the prime meridian and practiced plotting locations on a map using coordinates. We will continue practicing with maps tomorrow.
Before starting on our map work, however, we will take the quiz over the Chapter 2/Lesson 2 notes/reading. Notes on this section are attached to the blog post from yesterday (9/2). Originally, this quiz was scheduled for today but it seemed most of the students were not prepared for it so I postponed it until tomorrow.
Also, the Texas Natural Resources Map that was assigned on 9/1 is due tomorrow. Full details on what needs to be on the map are shown below on the blog post from 9/1.
