Chapter 13 Test Tomorrow

Tomorrow the students will take their exam over Chapter 13. Please make sure your student looks over their material so that they are ready for the test.

Below is a "study guide" to help those students who are interested enough to check the blog for help.

Chapter 13 Notes (Lessons 1 and 2)

Attached below are the notes from Lessons 1 and 2 of Chapter 13. Any student who did not finish these notes in class can (and should) use these copies in order to complete their notes. It is ok with me if they simply print them off.

Chapter 13 Vocabulary Assigned

Today the students took their exam over Chapter 12 - Texas Gains Independence. This test has been graded and the scores recorded in the grade book. The exam is the first summative grade of the third nine weeks grading period.

The vocabulary terms for Chapter 13 have been assigned. The terms, due date, and instructions are below.

Welcome back! We got the second half of the school year kicked off today by starting work on Chapter 12. The students were assigned a short vocabulary assignment that is due tomorrow (1/9) and started on their Lesson 1 notes (attached below).

Chapter 8 Notes and Project

A mini-project was assigned today for Chapter 8 - The Mexican National Era. This is a fun chapter that covers how Stephen F. Austin brought American settlers into Mexican Texas. Below is the full set of notes for Chapter 8 and the instructions for this mini-project. The mini-project will count as a major Summative grade.

Chapter 6 Test Tomorrow, Lesson 2 & 3 Notes, Chapter 6 Study Guide

Tomorrow the students will take the exam over Chapter 6 - Spanish Colonial Texas. Below are notes from Lessons 2 & 3 as well as a study guide for the chapter. If the students have done their reading, paid attention in class, and know the information on the study guide they should be just fine.
