Chapter 16 Test Tomorrow, Study Guide

Tomorrow the students will be taking their exam over Chapter 16 - The Civil War. I went over what the students would need to know in class, but I have attached a study guide below in order to help them study more effectively. If your student knows the information on the study guide, they should do just fine on the exam.

Chapter 16, Lessons 1 and 2 Notes

We continued to discuss the role of Texas in the Civil War today. Below, I have attached the full notes for Lessons 1 and 2.

Chapter 16 Vocabulary Assigned

Most of the class period today was taken up by a school-mandated writing exercise; however, I did assign the vocabulary for Chapter 16 and most of the students were able to at least get started on it. The full assignment is below. The vocabulary is due next Tuesday 2/18 (we are off on Monday in observance of President's Day).

Chapter 15 Exam Tomorrow, Study Guide, and Projects Due

The exam over Chapter 15 will tomorrow. Below you will find a study guide for the test. If students know the material in the study guide, they should do fine on the exam.

The Chapter 15 projects are due tomorrow at the beginning of class (before testing begins). This is a major summative grade so please ensure your student has completed it on time.

Chapter 15 Lesson 3 Notes, Project Reminder

The students started work on notes from Lesson 3 of Chapter 15 today. They should have taken down the first two sections. The full section of notes for Lesson 3 can be found below.

Please note: Any and all students can receive a full printed copy of notes simply by coming by to see me after school and requesting them.

Reminder: The Chapter 15 project is due on Wednesday 2/13. This weekend would be a great time to acquire any needed materials (poster boards, markers, etc.). Full instructions for the project can be found in my previous blog post.

Today the students completed the notes over Lesson 2 of Chapter 15. The complete set of notes is below.

Also, a project was assigned yesterday. The instructions are attached below as well. Please note that there are two different sets of instructions: one for PAP/TAG classes and one for my regular ed. classes. Make sure and follow the instructions for the proper class.
