Chapter 12 Underway, Lesson 1 Notes

The work on Chapter 12 has started. The students have already been assigned and turned in a vocabulary assignment and a vocabulary builder worksheet.

Below are the notes over Lesson 1 of Chapter 12 that we went over in class today.

Guided Reading for Lesson 3, Chapter 11 Vocabulary Builder Worksheet Due

The students worked on a brief Guided Reading sheet for Lesson 3 of Chapter 11 today in class. They then moved on and worked on the Vocabulary Builder sheet. The Vocabulary Builder is due tomorrow at the beginning of class. Please check with your student to make sure they have it and are ready to go tomorrow.

Chapter 11 - Lesson 2 Guided Reading and A, B, C's of the Texas Revolution Books Due (Regular Classes)

The students finished reading Lesson 2 of Chapter 11 in class today and then began work on the Guided Reading sheet for that section. This Guided Reading will be taken up and graded at the beginning of the period tomorrow.

Also, due tomorrow are the A, B, C's of the Texas Revolution books (regular classes only). I will allow the students time to work on them in class tomorrow and MIGHT be persuaded to extend the due date until next Monday if everyone works hard, behaves and is productive tomorrow.

Chapter 11 - Lesson 1 Complete (Notes and Guided Reading)

We started Chapter 11- The Alamo and Goliad this week. Today, we wrapped up Lesson 1 of the chapter. Attached below you will find some notes over Lesson 1 that the students can use as a study guide as well as the Guided Reading sheet they were assigned. The students have also done a vocabulary assignment at this point.

Please double check with your student and make sure they are up to date on all of their work. I would highly recommend they go online and take the Chapter 11 - Lesson 1 Self Check Quiz. It is very likely they will see these questions again in the near future.
